R & R in Navarre

Day 4 Navarre Beach, Fl. -Non Travel Day

We had a nice, restful day today. Staying in one spot for a bit is nice!

Jim has been trying to fix a set of overhead lights that have been out since we left. This morning he spent an hour or so pulling baseboard off until he found the loose wire in the rear of the RV. He was VERY proud of himself for (1) not having to go to a repair center (2) fixing it all by himself (3) not making it WORSE. His reaction to the successful repair was something like Tom Hanks making fire in Castaway...*I* have fixed the lights!!! Thumps chest.

There is a beautiful and very sweet golden retriever here in the campground named Molly. Today we petted her as she went for her morning walk, shortly thereafter she walked by after 'doing her business' carrying her own poop scooper bag! It was hilarious.

I got a pretty good sunburn on my chest yesterday, even though I used sunscreen. It was from last year and I think it lost it's 'screening'. So today was not a beach day. I was dragging a little, probably from doing too much yesterday...I have to remember how old I am.

We spent a couple of hours in a local zoo. The animals looked good, but the grounds were not being kept up. Lots of little kiddies on class trips. Cute seeing their reactions to the animals...especially to the baboon's butts!

Came back and had lunch and I took a nap. Aaaaah.

We went to the WalMart nearby, big one...about the size of Rhode Island. Still picking up odds and ends. One thing I've been needing since we got this thing is a full length mirror. I can only see to just below my chest with the mirror we have over the sink. I NEED to see my waist, hips and thighs, especially on vacation!

We had a healthy dinner of grilled fresh tuna from Patti's Seafood (HUGE, wonderful seafood mkt in Pensacola) a steamfresh veggie mixture, fresh sweetcorn and three pcs of sushi for an appetizer and a Jello sugar free rice pudding cup. Had this all ready in about 20 minutes....God, I'm good!

Tomorrow we'll do some more beach and hopefully get some biking in. May also go to a Cajun festival in Pensacola. I don't like anything Cajun...so I don't think I'll be gaining any weight there!
